Car Insurance GMC (Car Insurance). would a ninja 250r be a good idea?would a ninja 250r be a good idea? Its affordable, and i pretty much just need something to get around on, and i hear its a great bike to start out on. but alot of people also say its weak, youll get sick of it in a month and so on. anyone with experience what is your recomendation http://online2.msf-usa.org/msf/Default.aspx I recommend you take the safety course. Ride someone else's bike before you invest in your own. If you're just using it to get around, it's fine. It's not a bad bike. Those who say it is, are either blowing smoke out of their *** and don't really know what they're talking about, and/or have elitist views of what a 'good bike' really is. The question is: are you going to race with it? I don't think you are. It's fine then. Only pay attention to input from those who actually own or owned one. Ignore everyone else. As Paul said, only listen to people who have actually owned one. You'll be Very hard pressed to find someone who did own one (or currently does) who has much bad to say about it. It's a great bike to start on and it's a great bike to satisfy riders with 20 years riding experience. We have both in my house (wife is new, I've been riding for 20 years) and I honestly take her bike out WAY more often than mine. In town, it's a no brainier, I *NEVER* commute with bigger bikes (had a YZF600R that was a garage queen during the week) because they are just way too much for the job. Hard to maneuver, never got out of first gear, heavy pigs under 25~30mph, gas hogs and just not enjoyable to ride for my daily commutes. The 250 Ninja is a good bike- sporty and not overpowered. Who needs to win stoplight take offs at every intersection? Weak as a description is relative. It's weaker than a more powerful bike, but for commuting on the streets and some freeway is not beyond it's capability, unless you weigh sumo level and need to go 75 mph, 50 miles each way. People always say one thing is weak when it's not their money their spending. They're the kind who have 800 watt stereos in their car and want to upgrade to 2000 watts, not realizing they've become deaf. Auto parts : Liquid Container Acura 1995 . Liquid Tank Alfa Romeo 1996 . How do I justify $10k for a new bike...? How do I justify $10k for a new bike...? ...to myself I mean. My current steed is getting long in the tooth. Body parts are a recreational impossibility to shop for. Engine parts are becoming just as scarce. the gas gauge quit working. And I get tired of nursing it, to keep from popping out of second gear. But I've had her for twelve years, longer than my wife in fact. Since the wife is jealous of the old battleaxe talking her into it isn't the problem. It's me, that's the problem. So help me out here. How much better is a 2011 bike over the previous generations? As a point of reference, my old warhorse, in her prime, put out 125 hp, 75 ft-lb of torque and smoked the 1/4 mile in the low tens. She is comparable to the standards of today, well, on paper... And standards are what I am shopping, Ninja 1000, Street Triple, FZ1, Il Mostro, or maybe a Sprint GT. GMC . How to Replace Spark Plugs in a Nissan SentraMost Nissan Sentra models use spark plugs and wires. However, some Sentra models have a CA16DE or CA18DE engine, which utilizes direct ignition where spark plugs are directly connected to the coils. If you are unaware of the type of engine, check the car manual or examine the engine. If there are spark plug wires attached to the engine, you do not have a CA16DE or CA18DE engine. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Screwdriver Spark plug socket Socket wrench and extender Wire brush Silicone dielectric compound Step by Step : 1 Release the hood and allow the engine to cool. 2 Remove one of the spark plug wires. Grab the wire by the boot at the end of the wire and twist the wire slightly until the wire pops off the plug. Pull the wire off the plug. If you have a CA16DE or CA18DE engine, unscrew the eight screws holding the cover to the engine. This cover is located across the back of the engine, below the intake manifold. 3 Place the socket on the extender and the extender on the wrench. Slide the socket over the spark plug and twist it counter-clockwise to loosen the plug. Remove the socket and pull the plug out of the well. Some Sentra models have deep spark plug wells that require you to pull the plug out with the socket. 4 Clean the spark plug well and wire boot with a wire brush. 5 Apply a light coat of silicone dielectric compound to the threads of the new spark plug and to the inside of the boot. 6 Insert the plug into the well and tighten the spark plug by hand. Turn the plug 1/4 turn with the socket. Tighten any tapered plugs between 14 and 22 foot pounds. 7 Replace the spark plug wire, if used. Turn the wire until it clicks in place. 8 Repeat Steps 2 through 7 for the rest of the spark plugs. Do not remove all the wires at once. If wires are placed on the wrong plug, engine damage may occur. Replace the cover for a CA16DE or CA18DE engine and screw it back into place.
GMC . How to Replace Spark Plugs in a Mercury CougarThe Mercury Cougar is available in two different engine sizes: the 2.0 liter and the 2.5 liter. In a Cougar with a 2.0 liter engine, change the spark plugs every 60,000 miles. The 2.5 liter engines require the spark plugs to be changed every 100,000 miles. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Screwdriver Various socket sizes including a spark plug socket Socket wrench and extension Anti-seize lubricant New spark plugs Tension tester Step by Step : 1 Gain access to the spark plug wires after making sure the engine is cool. Use a screwdriver to remove the engine cover if the engine is equipped with one. Most newer models have these covers. 2 Loosen the bolts on the spark plug cover if the engine does not have spark plugs running along the sides or in plain view. The cover is located across the top of the engine with six to eight bolts holding it down. If the Cougar engine is a 2.5 liter engine, unscrew the ignition coil assembly and remove the water pump pulley cover. 3 Remove one spark plug wire at a time. Hold the wire by its boot (the end of the wire). Turn the boot to unlock it from the spark plug. Finish replacing each spark plug before removing the next wire. 4 Use the spark plug socket, extension and wrench to unscrew and remove the old spark plug. On newer Cougar models, the spark plugs are as far as 6 inches inside the cylinder well. 5 Rub anti-seize lubricant onto the threads of the new spark plug. 6 Lower the spark plug into the well with the socket and extension. Manually thread the spark plug into the well. 7 Test the tension of the plug and adjust it as needed. The tension ranges depending on the year and manufacturer of the plug. The specified tension is printed on the spark plug's package. 8 Replace the spark plug wire and then repeat the entire process with the remaining spark plugs. Once the process is complete, replace any components that were removed to access the spark plugs. *Brake shoes 2 7C Part 111: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System Here are the parts you should look at, what you should find, and what to do if they need to be repaired or replaced: • Wheel cylinders: The wheel cylinders should show no signs of leaking brake fluid. If they're leaky, consult a brake shop. • Brake shoes and linings: These should be evenly worn, with no bald spots or thin places. The brake lining should be at least Keinch from the steel part of the brake shoe or Ke inch from any rivet on brake shoes with rivets. The linings should be firmly bonded or riveted to the brake shoes. Most brakes give from 10,000 to 20,000 miles of wear. Some last even longer. If yours have been on your car for some time, they'll have grooves in them and may be somewhat glazed. 837

Mitsubishi Raider Double Cab. * If your brake drums have been wearing evenly and your vehicle has been braking properly, disregard the grooves and the glazing unless your linings look badly worn. If your linings are worn, have them replaced at once. This job involves replacing the brake shoes with "new" ones that have new linings on them. Always replace brake shoes in sets (four shoes for two front or rear wheels is a set) for even performance. Replacing them all at once is even better. If your brake shoes need to be replaced, remember that almost all "new" brake shoes are really rebuilt ones. When your brake shoes are replaced, your old brake shoes are returned to a company that removes the old linings, attaches new ones, and resells the shoes. So it can't hurt to ask whether the core charge can be deducted from the price of the new shoes. 12. Take a look at the self-adjusting devices on your brakes. (Figures 18-7 through 18-9 show the most common self-adjusters.) Trace the cable from the anchor pin above the wheel cylinder, around the side of the backing plate, to the adjuster at the bottom of the plate. Is the cable hooked up? Does it feel tight? If your brake pedal manages to apply your brakes before it gets halfway down to the floor, the adjustment is probably just fine. If not, and if the cylinders, linings, shoes, and so on, are okay, the adjusting devices may be out of whack. Making a couple of forward and reverse stops should fix them. If this approach doesn't work, you may need an adjustment at a service station. Don't attempt to fiddle with these yourself. Figure 18-7: Self-adjusting Delco Moraine brake: When you back up, the adjusting links and springs adjust the brakes automatically. Figure 18-8: Manually adjusted brake: You turn the star wheel adjuster by hand to adjust the brakes. .Chapter 18: Being a Buddy to Your Brakes and Bearings 2 "7 A GMC .
